Beautiful views doth seldom appear
Pile a smiling brow upon your face

That's the inspiration I got for this pic--the really old song by the Taiwanese singer Duhn Li Gihn (she also did a lot of other classic Mandarin songs. She later went to Japan to sing as well).
Anyway, this is one of the pics I'm going to be selling at Otakon in the art show auction...I hope it does well O_O;;; This pic was drawn on a 12x18 (I think) size piece of paper. Coloured with Triart and Copic markers as well as watercolour pencil and pastel pencil.
The instrument he's holding is an er-hu, a wooden, two-stringed instrument from China.
